Ravi Shankar Prasad Fires Back at Rahul Gandhi in Parliament, Takes a Jibe Over Amit Shah Question

Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad says he strongly countered Rahul Gandhi in Parliament, claiming the Congress leader struggled to handle his responses. Prasad also took a jibe at Gandhi over questions raised on Home Minister Amit Shah, calling his replies clear and decisive.

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday delivered a sharp rebuttal to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Parliament, asserting that he responded firmly and comprehensively to the issues raised against him. Prasad’s remarks came amid a heated exchange in the House, during which he also took a pointed swipe at Gandhi over his criticism involving Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Speaking about the parliamentary exchange, Prasad said that Rahul Gandhi struggled to handle even his responses during the debate. He remarked that if Gandhi found it difficult to counter his arguments, it raised questions about how he would confront a seasoned political figure like Home Minister Amit Shah. The comment underscored the combative tone of the discussion and highlighted the deepening political divide between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the opposition Congress.

Prasad maintained that he addressed every issue raised during the debate with clarity and precision. According to him, his replies were detailed and satisfactory, leaving no substantive grievances unanswered. He further noted that Rahul Gandhi did not formally lodge any complaint following the exchange, nor did the Congress party file any appeal in response to his statements, suggesting that his explanations stood on firm ground.

Emphasizing the strength of his intervention, Prasad described his responses as clear, direct, and fact-based. He portrayed the parliamentary exchange as an example of the BJP leadership confidently defending its position against opposition criticism, while also questioning the preparedness of Congress leaders to engage in rigorous debate on sensitive national issues.
